Milky Way

1.

As a tangled web of dark omens
Came the shimmer of dove's wings.
A sad light of deserted solitude
Sprinkled the earth with the dew of prayer.

The departed day like a crossed out visage
Welcomed the goodness of white fire.
And the small embraced the great,
And the Milky Way opened up for me!

2.

And so are You. And so are You, my God,
Within Yourself conversing with Oneself.
There is noone here who is not You,
And You are alone. Oh how lonely You are!

And we are alone. And there is noone,
Who would call to us: "Adam! Where have you gone?"
We are the one who hid oneself from himself within himself,
And banished oneself from the One.

Where do we go? To whom do we run?
Oh, God, what a responsibility for everyone!
How hard it is, oh God, how scary,
And there's noone here to tell about this.

For noone - for us and for You -
This great gift, to which, which...
There's no equal, my God! And Light from every spore,
And everyone is holy, and the holiness is in You!

And You within me, and so I, my God,
Am talking within myself to You.
There is noone here who is not me.
This is how I am alone. This is how lonely I am.
